Captiva is currently seeking a graphic designer with originality, imaginative flair and a working knowledge of the latest print design software. Candidate must be confident to work with various clients to translate expressed needs and ideas into concepts and plan, design, develop and produce them from concept to completion into effective communication materials. Projects cover a wide range including but not limited to branding and identity packages, brochures, catalogs, signage, and advertising campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Graphic Design degree preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience in the industry

Skills

  • Proficient with Macintosh OSX and Windows operating systems
  • Software: proficient in Quark Xpress, Illustrator & Photoshop (Creative Suite), Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), & Acrobat. InDesign preferred but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of pre-press and printing processes
  • Media planning
  • Media & print buying
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong typing skills
  • Time management

Web Designer & Developer Wanted

Captiva is currently seeking a web designer and developer with awareness of current trends in the industry, and a working knowledge of the latest web design software and languages. Candidate must be confident to work with various clients to translate expressed needs and ideas into concepts and plan, design, and develop user-friendly web standard sites from concept to completion. Projects cover a wide range from basic HTML brochure sites to pure CSS/XHTML-driven e-commerce.

Qualifications

  • Degree in related field preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience in the industry

Skills

  • Proficient with Macintosh OSX and Windows operating systems
  • Software: proficient in Photoshop, Fireworks & Dreamweaver (Macromedia Studio), Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), & Acrobat. Flash & osCommerce preferred

Production & Project Trafficking Coordinator Wanted

This person is a highly organized and motivated self-starter who is responsible for coordinating projects from start to finish. This includes estimating, scheduling, managing workflow, and monitoring deadlines.

Job Duties:

  • Organize and manage project scope, budgets and plans
  • Schedule internal and external resources including photographers, artists, freelancers, printers, fulfillment houses, programmers, etc.
  • Negotiate and purchase print services and media space or time
  • Delegate tasks
  • Oversee and monitor workflow
  • Review and approve proofs and conduct press checks
  • Assist with production and quality control
  • Interview new vendors and build relationships with current vendors
  • Enter project data in time tracking and bookkeeping software
  • Receiving shipments and completed projects
  • Offer administrative support

Qualifications

  • Graphic Design degree preferred
  • 3 years minimum experience in the industry

Skills

  • Proficient with Macintosh OSX and Windows operating systems
  • Software: Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, InDesign, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), & Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of pre-press and printing processes
  • Experience prioritizing and simultaneously managing multiple projects in various stages throughout entire project lifecycle including estimating, planning, budgeting, production, and fulfillment
  • Good grammar, spelling, punctuation and overall attention to detail are a must
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
